TRANSCRIPT | "One thing I think everybody knows right now is that the federal government actually is hiring people, and there's some things that everybody needs to know about applying for a job or finding out what jobs are available with the federal government. First, you don't have to pay for information about what federal jobs exist. You don't have to pay to apply. All of this information is available for free at usajobs.gov. That's the free site and it's the real deal. It has all of the jobs that are available. There's a special kind of scam that we know about for postal jobs. There's a scam that says, you know, pay money and we ensure that you will pass the test that you need to pass, and then you'll be able to get a postal job. Don't fall for that either. If you're interested in a job with the United States Postal Service, go to their website. All the information you need is there free, and don't ever pay anybody any money to get you a job with the U.S. Postal Service."

Another scam that we've seen are those that offer employment listing services. In other words, pay money to me and I will give you access to my website which lists all kinds of jobs. Jobs in your geographic area. Jobs that you're going to be eligible for. Jobs that you qualify for. If you pay your money up front you may wind up finding out that those job listings aren't as extensive as you thought they would be. Those jobs listings don't list jobs in your geographic area or you don't qualify at all for the jobs that are listed."
